From Injustice to Impact

Who We Are
The Reginald Clemens Redemption Project was founded to confront the silent injustices hidden inside America’s prison system—particularly those impacting Black men. For decades, brothers with no prior record have been sentenced like career criminals, handed decade-long stretches for first offenses, or trapped behind bars due to miscalculated time and unjust parole denials.
We are here to shine a light on cases that have been ignored, to demand fair treatment, and to ensure that men who have proven their transformation are not kept in bondage.

our Mission & Vision
Our Right, Our Duty, Our Divine Responsibility
At the Reginald Clemens Redemption Project, we believe every human being is created with purpose, dignity, and the right to redemption. Guided by Islamic principles of justice, mercy, and restoration, we stand for brothers who have been buried under excessive sentencing, denied fair time calculations, and overlooked by a system that too often punishes instead of rehabilitating.
We believe that a man’s past should not define his entire life, especially when he has demonstrated growth, discipline, and excellence behind the walls. Countless first-time offenders have served 10, 15, even 20+ years, maintaining model behavior and strong moral character—yet parole continues to deny them without just cause. We advocate for their right to fair review, their right to freedom, and their right to rebuild.
Our mission is rooted in faith, justice, and community uplift:
-
To advocate for incarcerated men facing harsh or excessive sentencing
-
To fight for accurate sentence calculations and fair parole consideration
-
To support families navigating the trauma of incarceration
-
To provide programs that strengthen discipline, self-worth, and life skills long before release
-
To build pathways for Black men returning home so they never have to go back
-
To reach young men early—before prison becomes their reality
This work is not just policy and paperwork—it is sacred work, rooted in the belief that Allah’s mercy is greater than any mistake, and that every man deserves the chance to rise again.

Our Perspective
We speak from the lived experience of Black men, Muslim men, incarcerated men, and the families who carry their burden. Our voice is rooted in the belief that:
-
Redemption is real.
-
Growth is possible.
-
Justice is a right, not a privilege.
-
No man should be defined forever by his worst moment.
Our Promise
We will continue to fight for fairness, advocate for those who cannot advocate for themselves, and build bridges of support that uplift our brothers from the inside out.
Because every man deserves the chance to rise—
and together, by the permission of Allah, we rise.
